Mangal Dosha:

In Vedic astrology, Mangal Dosha, also called Kuja Dosha or Manglik Dosha, is a condition where the placement of the planet Mars in specific houses of a person’s birth chart (kundali) is thought to have a negative effect. The first, fourth, seventh, eighth, and twelfth houses are the ones specifically connected to Manglik Dosha. Astrological traditions state that having Mars in these houses can cause difficulties in a person’s marriage.

A common belief is that Mangal Dosha plays a crucial role when evaluating a couple’s suitability for marriage. It is thought that people with this dosha could have trouble getting married or postpone finding a compatible life partner. Families sometimes place an abundance of importance on Mangal Dosha while arranging marriages in an effort to ensure the harmony and long-term happiness of the marriage.

Manglik Dosha Types

High Mangal Dosha:

Mars will be regarded as having a high Mangal Dosha if it is located in the seventh or eighth house according to the Natal, Moon, and Venus charts. A person’s life may be filled with numerous hardships.

Low Mangal Dosha:

This is also known as “Partial Manglik Dosha” if Mars is situated in the first, second, fourth, and twelfth house of any one of these three charts: the natal chart, the moon chart, or the venus chart. Some astrologers claim that at the age of 28, it may become void.

There are remedies that help eliminate the negativity of mangal, so you don’t need to worry about the negative consequences of mangal dosha. There are specific rites and mantras that one may follow. This is a brief description of them.

1. A bond between two Manglik people

If both people are Mangliks, this dosha becomes invalid. They can have a joyful and blessed married life if they eliminate all of its negative consequences.

2. The Kumbh Vivah

When one partner in a marriage is Manglik, you may reverse the negative effects of Mangal dosha by doing the Kumbh Vivah ceremony. A Manglik person marries a banana tree, or a Lord Vishnu image made of silver or gold.

3. Mars’s position on the horoscope chart

Additionally, according to astrologers, if a person’s horoscope chart has Aries or Mesh as the first house and Mars or Mangal is located there, the Mangal Dosha is no longer effective because Mars is in its own house, Aries.

4. Fasting

Among all the remedies, people consider fasting on Tuesdays to be the most successful. On this day, Mangliks who follow a fast should only consume toor daal.

5. Chanting

On Tuesdays, people who identify as Mangliks should recite the Mangal Mantra, also known as the Navgraha mantra. They can also recite the Hanuman Chalisa or the Gayatri mantra 108 times a day.

6. Conducting Temple Pujas

Visiting the  Navagraha temples reduces the negative effects of Mangal Dosha. Nonetheless, the number of temples devoted to Lord Mangal is quite small throughout all of India. You can find the most well-known temples in TamilNadu, with a few situated in Guwahati, Assam. It is very beneficial to perform these pujas on Tuesdays in order to reduce the negative effects of Mangal dosha. Tuesday is an appropriate day to worship Lord Hanuman by going to his temple. Serve sweets and crimson.  Light a ghee diya at the temple.

7. Donations and Offerings

Everyone believes that Manglik people donate on Tuesdays. To satisfy Mars, offer items such as swords and knives, food prepared with red lentil dals (masoor daal), wheat bread, sindoor, silks, and red stones like corals.

8. Gems

Put on a golden ring with a vivid red coral on your right index finger. Before wearing it, though, have the horoscope chart carefully examined by a reputable astrologer.
