Shri Doddagaddavalli Lakshmi Devi Temple or the Lakshmi Devi Temple Doddagaddavalli was built during the reign of King Vishnuvardahana in the 12th century in Hoysala style of Kadamba-Nagara style of architecture of Chatuskuta (four-shrined) order of temples. 

Each of the shrine of the Lakshmi Devi temple Doddagaddavalli is bedecked with a Shikara(Boat), a Sukhanasi(Vestibule), with a Kalasha (Pot) on the Shikara and a Hoysala crest on the vestibule.
